Ocean City Transmission Line Project

The Ocean City to Worchester project completed Phase 2 of a multi-phase rebuild project for a 69kV transmission line for Delmarva Power and Light in 2019. Civil work consisted of excavations below sea level with well points to accompany large dewatering operations. Substation and pole terminations lead to large manholes with anti-float collars and then to a horizontal directional drill package within a 48-inch PVC casing under the Isle of the Wight Bay. This project helped to maintain a stable supply of electricity to Ocean City, MD.
